A different pictorial cancellation was used for each day of the show. 


This and the last item show the layout of the provisional handstamp used at the start of the period of the tax.  It is modelled on the provisional that was printed at Nasik and used throughout India in the early weeks, but  the English reads upwards on this version.

This is clearly a Lucknow postmark, but the upright words are to the left of the Hindi. They are too smudged to read. The date of the postmark is also unreadable, and could be inverted. Perhaps another collector has a better copy?
